The renovations have utterly transformed the Rising Sun. It’s clean, bright, fresh and a pleasure to visit. The staff are wonderful. Happy, knowledgeable and chatty! The food is just consistently great. We visited again last night and once again had a great meal. During January and February they are offering a voucher lottery and we hit the jackpot with a significant % off our bill! We will back. Vouchers or not, The Rising Sun is a fantastic place to visit for all! Nearby activities: Right in the heart of St Mawes village. Walkability: Easily walkable right in the center of St Mawes Food & drinks: Great menu, consistently good food. Strong wine list- good range on offer and good price range. Great bar, good beers & lots of gins!

The Rising Sun is a perfect place to stay! Great food, amazing service! Everybody who we've met, who works there is kind, friendly & professional. The beds are fantastic, everything is spotless. I'm just sorry I can't move in!|

The food and service is excellent, great choice for vegetarians. Our dog was made welcome with treats and water available. The banana blossom and chips was great. We liked the Rising Sun so much we returned for a second visit during our week in St. Mawes.

Had a great stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. All the food was excellent as was our accommodation. Our recently refurbished room was well equipped and spacious with a lovely sea view.Looking forward to making a return visit.

We had a partial sea view, the attention to service was second to none and the food was so good.|Has an amazing lunch the day we arrived and superb dinner the second night.|Breakfast was also good and the rooms are so comfortable, a great nights sleep!|Can’t recommend enough.

Superb…..the harbour view room had the comfiest bed with a lovely duvet & bedding. The food is delicious & beautifully presented…although the menu is quite small…. The buttermilk pancakes at breakfast were sublime! All the staff were friendly & attentive. The whole place has a great vibe. Parking: There is a very large pay/ display car park within easy walking distance
