Beautiful, comfortable, very friendly & in a good location. Our hosts Amelia & Tim were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The breakfasts were superb with fresh fruit , orange. Juice, cereal , full cooked breakfast and a ´special every day which was different. It was a joy to stay there.. On the edge of the village it was not far to walk but if needed there is a spacious car park in the village, only £1 after 6pm. I would highly recommend this B&b , very artistically arranged inside to reflect its maritime location. Rooms: Spotlessly clean & homely. Loved the little “kitchen cupboard” with kettle, shared fridge & refreshments. Nearby activities: Plenty of marine activities in the village. Walkability: A 10-15 min walk to the village downhill, but uphill on way home!

The luxury bed and breakfast is so heavenly, peaceful and so tranquil. Our room was comfortable, the bed was so great to sleep in. Fab bedding all aiding for such a wonderful nights sleep. All in all a fabulous place to stay. The breakfasts were tasty and a varied choice. Everything was plentiful and excellent quality. Car parking on the premises, always a bonus. Thank you so much. We arrived in St Mawes for our last mini staycation of this summer, where we had no difficulty in locating our accommodation, at Nearwater B&B. We arrived a good 3 hours before our check-in time and there wasn’t anyone around at the B&B to …

Nearwater is the perfect B&B From the warm welcome on our arrival from our hosts, Tim and Amelia, to the large comfy beds and delicious breakfasts, it was all perfect. Amelia is a keen gardener and I was treated to a tour of the garden on the first morning, while Tim cooked delicious smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, one of the many specials we enjoyed throughout our stay. The bedrooms were large, nicely decorated and very comfortable with beachside details in both the bedrooms and communal spaces. The centre of St Mawes is only minutes away by foot, that's if you don't find yourself distracted en route by the beautiful view across the harbour. Needless to say, I am already plotting my next visit as the whole experience left me wanting more.

My 2nd stay at Nearwater in St Mawes and another lovely time had. The hosts Amelia and Tim have a great balance with Amelia front of house, liaising with the guests each morning over breakfast and Tim preparing the lovely 'special' breakfast or full English, whichever your preference. We had great weather so were lucky enough to sit outside in their pretty garden each morning. Amelia always has some good advice on where to go, the best bits to visit. We had Percuil and The Cabin rooms for 4 nights and even extended to a 5th night as we weren't ready to go home. Both very comfy beds with crisp white linens and fluffy towels. A MUST visit during the summer is Lamorran Gardens and also take the little boat across to Place and walk to Towan Beach to watch the seals play. Loving St Mawes so much, I only have 6 weeks to wait before another return. I would highly recommend Nearwater for any length of stay and will be back.... x

Nearwater is perfect. Tim and Amelia are wonderful hosts - accommodating, friendly, helpful and great fun. We stayed in the self catering annex which has everything you could need for your stay whether for a few days or a week. We even brought along our cocker spaniel who was treated like royalty with the warmest welcome and beautiful garden to explore. The BnB is a 5 minute walk to Summers Beach and the village centre - far enough away from the bustle to be lovely and peaceful but close enough that a wander home from any of the glorious local pubs or restaurants is a joy not a chore. If you haven't visited St Mawes, you must. And we would highly recommend you book Nearwater for your stay. We will be back.
